My journey to set up Botanicalia is one that many can relate to. I've always loved crafting and rediscovered this passion during the pandemic when I couldn’t buy the floral gifts and home decorations I wanted. This period of time also allowed me, like many others, to reconnect with nature and appreciate its beauty.
In my previous corporate role at Visa in Europe I offered to create, organise and lead numerous sustainability-focused crafting workshops for colleagues in support of corporate charitable volunteering initiatives. Over eight months, I engaged with over 250 colleagues through 12 workshops and got fantastic feedback from the participants. My experience as an Executive Assistant and events planner provided me with the skills to manage, set up, and execute these workshops effectively alongside the training I received from Moyses Stevens, Capel Manor and Hadlow Colleges in London and Kent.
The positive impact these workshops had on my colleagues inspired me to take a bold step. I decided to start my own small business, combining my passion for crafting with the joy of sharing my experience and expertise with others. Thus, my journey began, driven by a love for creativity and a desire to make a difference.
